Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why should my child practice meditation?
Children are experiencing higher stress levels than ever before. When children are stressed, this impacts their learning ability, brain development, and emotional and physical well-being. The goal of Grounded Peaks is to equip children with a suite of mindfulness techniques (breath-work, mindful movement (yoga), and meditation activities) to help them reduce stress and self-regulate emotions to navigate life’s challenges and to reach peak potential.

Can hyperactive children and children with ADHD benefit from meditation?
ABSOLUTELY! I suffer from ADHD myself and have found meditation and mindfulness to help my focus tremendously. It usually takes 3-4 sessions to see a difference in attention span to develop ability to meditate for longer durations. I have found that mindful movement/yoga is very important and helpful with children with ADHD. Studies have shown benefits of meditation for children with ADHD including increased focus and concentration to support academic performance.
